God lead me to create OneFlesh.tv in 2019 after coming off of a 5 year wining come up that completely changed our lives.  But even before that major come up, if we were to look at our first 3 years of marriage you would definitely see the enemy at work. Those early years were filled with a lot of arguing, selfish behavior, not truly understanding what love is or how to love each other well.  By the end of year 3 we had finally leaned into our relationship with Christ enough to learn how to successfully overcome conflicts and, how to love each other in the way that pleased God and satisfied us.  But those would prove to be just the beginning of our marital challenges.

During that time we had also struggled with repeat child loss. We experienced 1 late loss at 22 weeks and 3 back to back miscarriages. Despite the enemy's attack on our faith during this season, our first child, Zavien, came in 2011 about 5 years into our marriage. In an effort to continue growing our family we got pregnant again in 2013.  After spending our entire savings trying to get the best medical attention for our daughter Zuriyah's high risk condition, that pregnancy ended with us losing her after she was born at 24 weeks.  We were broken.

That same year would bring yet another great challenge with David getting laid off from his corporate job.  It was just like the enemy to attack us with even greater force while we were grieving and completely vulnerable. We were in a position of instability and were losing everything.  Our house was going into foreclosure, our cars were about to be repossessed and we didn't know how we were going to make it.  It was then that we decided to start trusting God on a whole new level.

After making that decision and leaning into it, God proceeded to take us on a journey that allowed us to grow together in Christ immensely.  In 5 years we went from inches from losing everything to owning a thriving business, a 10,000 square foot estate and adding 2 more beautiful children, Zakai and Zekeyus, to our family.
